2) THE LARGEST CONTINENT IN THE WORLD:


"Asia is a continent of the world, comprising 47 countries in six geographical regions".
Made up of West Asia, Central Asia, the Near East, South Asia, Southeast Asia and East Asia. The Asian continent is bounded on the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the east by the Bering Strait and the Pacific Ocean, to the south by the Indian Ocean and to the Southwest by the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea; in the west, the border between Europe and Asia is conventionally located in the Ural mountains, however the mass of land formed by Europe and Asia is called Eurasia.


In South-East Asia, islands and islands follow one another in the east to Oceania: The islands of the Philippines and Indonesia (Sumatra, Java, Sulawesi, Celeb es, Borneo and New Guinea, Taiwan, the islands of Japan and Sakhalin are located in northeastern Asia, while Sri Lanka and smaller island chains such as the Maldives, Andaman and Nicobar Islands are located in the northeastern part of Asia found in the Indian Ocean.

5) NATURAL ENVIROMENT:


Asia extends from north to south from Cape  (in Siberia, Russia) in the north to the southern end of the Malacca peninsula to the south. The continent has a maximum width of approximately 8,500 km from west to east, from Cape (northwestern Turkey), to the west at Cape  (northeastern Siberia, Russia), ballast.

Asia is home to the highest point and the lowest point on the Earth (Mount Everest 8,850 meters above sea level and the Dead Sea 429 meters below sea level).

The inner regions of Asia consist of mountains and plateaus separated by structural basins. Located a little south of the geometric center of Asia, the heart of the continent consists of the Himalayas, neighboring mountain ranges and the Tibetan plateau. Around this central core are four large plateaus (Siberia, East China, South India and Arabia), large structural basins, and plains crossed by rivers.
