The tributaries of the Indus - Sutlej, Ravi, Chenab and Jhelam - feed the irrigation system which waters the Punjab in the west, and Sind in the south. The Great Plain, separated from the Thar Desert by the Indian border, terminates to the south by a narrow coastal plain bordering the Arabian Sea.
